Research

Hora Mountain, Ngoni cultural heritage site in the northern region of Malawi

My master's research focused on the relationship between prey-body size and macronutrient composition. Specifically, how body size can or cannot be a predictor of macronutrient proportions in Eastern African mammals and how this could impact hominin dietary reconstructions.

For my PhD, I am assessing the temporal and spatial scales of dietary proxies (i.e., mesowear, microwear, hypsodonty, and stable isotopes) of Eastern African bovids, suids, and equids commonly used for paleoenvironmental reconstruction.
